Last month we had the pleasure of hosting a group of AdventureWomen in Malopolska region – Lesser Poland – in the south of Poland. The special group traveled on their custom designed vacation along with the founder of AdventureWomen, Susan Eckert. This was the first AdventureWomen trip to Poland. This year, AdventureWomen is celebrating 30 Years of Creating Adventure Vacations for Women all over the world!
We started the trip in Krakow and then traveled south to Zakopane, in the Tatra mountains. For an entire week, we dined in the regions best restaurants, cooked regional and traditional Polish recipes with both local village women and Chef Marek Widomski at the Culinary Institute in Cracow, hiked beautiful Tatra mountain trails, took a rafting trip on the Dunajec River Gorge and visited cultural sights, many on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
